I am the creative director here at Jo Spirit Designs and today, we’re talking about something very personal to me, my home!
I decided that this is the year! The year that I, Fana Saucier will create a “grown up” space. I sound like I’m still 5 years old, HA!
For years, I have been hesitant to buy furniture and update my home because I didn’t have much money and didn’t want to feel like I was settling or feel guilty for spending on something that didn’t feel like a necessity.
Also, I live in an apartment my space is pretty small so I felt like I didn’t know how to address furniture layout and storage needs.
I’m know I’m not the only one who puts limitations on what they can or can not do.
While these are all understandable concerns, they are narratives I have told myself and have used to avoid expressing myself creatively as an interior designer.
Well, this year it stops!
Design inspires me but what I truly love is the passion to live a creative, romantic, and beautiful life.
That is what I think great designers really do.
All of this to say I am ready to and live the life I dream of because we all have that power.
It all starts with the living room. This is the first room you enter in my apartment and where we spend the most time.

-Save
-Shop!!
-Install
This year we are getting honest and comfortable with being uncomfortable.
With that said below are some before photos of my current living room. Don’t judge….you know what go ahead and judge. It’s real life.
