It is finally Spring!

Time to put away the winter goats, scarves and gloves and bring out the floral dresses, hats, and sandals!

Most importantly, we can pull out our spring décor and spruce up our homes for the warmer weather.

We have some great suggestions to make your home feel more like Spring this season.

  1. Hello Yellow!

Bring out any of your yellow décor, furniture pieces, or linens. Yellow is such a great color, it makes people happy and brightens up any space. If you don’t own any yellow, consider a decorative object, lamp or small rug.

If you’re looking to create a bolder statement you could source an accent chair, a sofa, or paint an accent wall if you really want to change things up!

Here are some of my favorite yellow finds and links below!

2. Fresh flowers

This is a very simple way to make a huge impact! There is something so special about fresh flowers or plants in your home.

Fresh greenery sends a joyful message and adds a beautiful fragrance in your home.

Flowers also feel like a form of self care, I love going out and finding the perfect flowers for how I’m feeling that week. Then flowers can be placed in the most beautiful vase or something as simple as a Mason jar. No matter, fresh flowers always look fabulous.

If you don’t have much of a green thumb or simply don’t feel like purchasing new flowers once a week, below are some great faux floral options.

3. Hand towels and linens

One of the simplest and most cost effective ways to update your home for Spring would be hand towels, decorative napkins or linens.

Think of how fun it is to go to a friend’s home and in their powder room they have napkins or a hand towel that relates to the season or a holiday.

These kinds of touches might feel insignificant in the grand scheme of your décor but it is all about the details. The details are what will catch your guest’s eye.

Details like this will definitely make you the hostess with the mostest and you don’t have make a huge investment or commitment.

One of my FAVORITE sources for linens is Etsy, it is a great source for unique items and you are supporting small businesses.

4. Outdoor Living Refresh

The outside of your home is just as important as the inside.

If you’re lucky enough to have a yard, there are endless opportunities to create a beautiful living space.

Seating! Seating! SEATING! If you truly want to make an impact add some chairs, a sofa, or an outdoor sectional.

Once you have seating it is pretty important to have tables, whether it be a side table for a drink or a full size table for family BBQ’s.

Now that you have seating and table, it great to add in some fabric by adding decorative pillows, outdoor rugs, or an umbrella if your space allows.

I also suggest adding lighting, such as string lights, tiki torches, and fire pits. These additional lights will add great ambiance and create…well a vibe!

5. Wreaths

I know when people think of wreaths they typically think about Christmas. However, wreaths are a great way to spice up your front door at any time of year.

There are always holidays from Valentine’s Day to Easter or the Fourth of July. There are great options that don’t have to relate to the latest holiday, they may be a better reflection of the season.

As you’re updating your home for spring, consider a wreath.

6. Fragrances

I am a huge fan of “smell goods”, I love candles, diffusers, room sprays, etc.

There are smells that coordinate with each season so what better way to refresh for spring than to bring in new aromas.

You want to incorporate smells of florals, lavender, or citrus.

7. Color

While I love the color yellow it may be a bit bold for some people.

Bringing in bright colors in general is a great way to make your home feel more like spring.

During the spring season all of the flowers are blooming and the trees/plants are coming back to life. All of this to say the outdoors are becoming more colorful, why not make your home reflect that?

I am huge lover of color and I truly believe that being around color makes your happier and brings joy to those who visit your home.
